Hourly Care
A Flexible Solution for Busy Families
Offered for children ages 6 months to 5 years of age at the CDC located on Fairchild. Hourly care meets the needs of customers who need care on an irregular basis such as short-term care for a doctor appointment, to work out, or to volunteer in the community, on a space-available basis. The requirements regarding eligibility, registration, and immunizations are the same as those required for full-day care.

Applying for Child Care
Childcare services are offered to eligible patrons at Fairchild AFB for full-time (weekly) care, before-and-after-school care, and hourly care. All services except hourly care and special openings require a completed application and time on a placement list. Specific procedures for the Resource and Referral Program can be found in SVYC Operating Instruction 34-4. All forms and program information can be downloaded from the CDC Document Library.
Parent Advisory Board
Your Involvement Matters!
Parents are always welcome to visit and assist with their child's care to the extent that their duty permits. The Parent Advisory Board (PAB) is a committee of all the CDC programs in conjunction with other Child and Youth Programs (CYP). The PAB acts only in an advisory capacity, providing recommendations for improving services. The Chairperson of the PAB is a parent.
The Parent Advisory Committee selects a chairperson. Each chairperson attends the Program Parent Advisory Board meeting. The Parent Advisory Board meets with the Airman and Family Readiness Center Flight Chief and Center Directors at least quarterly and with the Mission Support Group Commander at least annually. The minutes of the parent advisory meetings are forwarded to the Mission Support Group Commander for review.

STEM Workshop: Lego Robotics Class
Join the FREE Stem Workshop: Lego Robotics class at the Fairchild Library on November 9, where ages 10 and up will teach Lego Robots to pick up an item using a touch sensor or eye camera! No need to register for this event, so just show up!

Zombie Run
Run, walk, creep or crawl! Gather your monsters of all sizes and come out to the Fitness Center for the FREE 1.5 mile Zombie Run in the dark. Costumes are encouraged if you dare! Just show up to this mysterious event.
Christmas Gift Activities for Teens
Calling Fairchild AFB teens ages 13-19! Get in the holiday spirit at Arts and Crafts December 20 from 10am - noon. This is the perfect place to be creative with friends and possibly make someone special a gift they won't forget for just $10 (materials and instruction included). Winter Wonderland Crafts
Get the kids in the Holiday spirit with Winter Wonderland FREE Crafts at the Library! Drop-in activity will be offered during regular operating hours or choose a grab-and-go option for those that prefer to make the crafts at home. Kids can make gifts for loved ones or just to decorate the house.
Holiday Tree Lighting
The holiday season hasn't officially started on Fairchild until the switch is flipped to light the big tree outside the Chapel. Make sure you're there to watch all the action and kick the season off right. Don't miss the guest appearance from the big man himself! It's FREE, just show up!
